For All Pressing Matters

I am a Press Tooling Engineering Consultant whose 40-year career has been largely dedicated to the automotive industry, with a focus on Press Tooling and Engineering at Jaguar Cars and subsequently Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). I began my career as an Apprentice Trained Toolmaker before joining Jaguar Cars in July 1990. Throughout my tenure, I have managed Tooling projects for leading Jaguar models including the XJ-S, XJ6, XK8, S-Type, and the New Aluminium XJ6, working extensively with international Toolmakers and Production suppliers. Progressing into managerial positions, I oversaw feasibility studies for BIW parts, Die Design, Tool Manufacturing, Project Management and the introduction of new tooling for both Steel and Aluminium stampings. My significant contributions include the development and transformation of the Castle Bromwich Press Shop, Successful delivery of tooling for new vehicle launches, and leadership in supplier management and technical support. By 2025, I led the Supplier Tooling Team in STA, championing innovation and quality in the supply of external parts for JLR projects.
